The past semester in Jewish Studies our class has been learning about the responsibilities of Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

I learnt a lot of things about Bar and Bat Mitzvah, like now I know why Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are so special and the purpose of the Tallit and the Tefillin

Bar/Bat Mitzvah is a party which a jewish child becomes a young adult and this is very important to Jews. Girls have their Bat Mitzvah when they turn twelve, but boys have theirs when they turn thirteen, but why do the girls have theirs first? People think that girls mature faster then boys.

The Tefillin we use to serve G-d, the Tefillin are two black boxes with straps, we put one on our head and one on our arm, the one on our head represents our thoughts and the one on your arm represents your actions. This is the two ways we serve G-d.

A tallit is a prayer shawl that people use while praying, you cover your eyes and shoulders with it, it represent the 613 mitzvot, after you have your Bar/Bat Mitzvah you have to fulfill all the Mitzvot using these two items.
